Friedmann was charged with a hate crime and aggravated assault after prosecutors said he yelled racial slurs and spit at a Black woman outside a grocery store. He is also accused of attempting to hit the woman with his car during the Sept. 7 incident.

As of Tuesday, no reference to Friedmann can be found anywhere on the university's website. He is still a fellow with the Royal Society of Medicine in London, but a spokesperson said Wednesday they are "closely monitoring" the outcome of Friendmann's case.
