1. The Oak Park Department of Public Health is partnering with District 97 to make plans for administering the COVID-19 vaccine to children between ages five and 11. Tentative plans include vaccine clinics throughout November to vaccinate the more than 4,000 children in the district who could become eligible for vaccination this week, pending CDC approval. 2. Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced this week the launch of Operation Purple Heart, which aims to return 11 medals to their rightful owners. One medal was found almost 20 years ago in an Oak Park bank’s safe deposit box. (Paid source: Pioneer Press)

3. After serving seven years in an Indonesian prison for murdering her mother in Bali, Heather Mack was deported to Chicago yesterday. The now 26 year old is from Oak Park. (AP)

4. Four people were injured in a South Austin car crash Monday night, including three Chicago police officers. A Chrysler ran a stop sign in the 300 block of North Laramie Avenue and struck a police vehicle around 9 p.m. (Patch)
