Rep. Lilly Creates Education Taskforce to Improve Local Schools
The Education Taskforce Meeting will take place June 27.

Chicago, IL — State Rep. Camille Lilly, D-Chicago, is encouraging residents to attend her first Education Taskforce meeting to help construct better elementary and secondary school policies.
The new taskforce will meet on a quarterly basis, starting Monday June 27 at 6 p.m. at the Chicago Austin Library on 5625 W. Race St., and will ask participants to sign up to join the Taskforce as they debate better school policies.

Upon the agreement of policies and ideas, they will be presented in Springfield for new bill proposals, hoping to effect positive changes to Illinois’ educational system.
“Educating our children and providing them opportunities to excel is so critical to their development and the future of our state and country,” said Lilly. “As a member of the House Elementary & Secondary Education Committee, I want to hear from the families I represent about their thoughts on their children’s education.”

Lilly represents the 78th District, which includes parts of Chicago, Elmwood Park, Melrose Park, Franklin Park, Oak Park and River Grove.
