Rep. Lilly Invites Residents to Help Plant, Identify Trees for Arbor Day

Arbor Day at the Austin Gardens will take place April 29.

Submitted by the office of Rep. Camille Lilly.

OAK PARK, Ill. – State Rep. Camille Lilly, D-Chicago, is joining the Park District of Oak Park on April 29 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. for Arbor Day at the Austin Gardens, located at 167 Forest Ave. in Oak Park, and she is encouraging constituents to join her in planting trees and taking part in other environmentally friendly activities.

“It’s amazing to see people who care about the environment and to have a dedicated Park District with a strong desire to keep Oak Park an environmentally friendly village,” Lilly said. “If we don’t work to save our natural environment now, there won’t be much of a sustainable one for our future generations to thrive in. But with enough involvement from community members on Arbor Day, we can make a positive difference.”
