1. In case you missed it: 62 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Oak Park last week, according to the health department. The weekly update does not include at-home test results. (VOP)

2. The Village of River Forest will purchase two new police cars and an ambulance “to maintain an updated fleet for our first responders,” President Catherine Adduci wrote in her weekly letter to residents. The board approved the move at its Sept. 26 meeting. (VRF)
