River Forest D90 Board President Resigns

The deadline to apply for a position on the Board of Education is June 15.

River Forest, IL - River Forest School District 90 Board of Education President Pat Meyer has resigned from his position.

Meyer and his family plan to move to Colorado in early July, according to the district, and Ralph Martire, current board vice president, will take on Meyer's leadership role the board fills the position at the June 20 Board of Education meeting

Board members have 45 days to collect and review applications, conduct interview and choose someone to fill the vacancy, according to the district's policy and state school code.

Anyone interested in serving on District 90’s Board of Education can submit an application at the District’s Administrative Offices, 7776 Lake St., River Forest. The deadline to file an application is 3 p.m. June 15.

A special Board of Education meeting will be held in July to select the new board member. More information and application instructions is available on the District 90 website.

Meyer was elected to the Board of Education in 2009, and he took on the position of board president with his re-election in 2013, according to the district.
