River Forest Township Assessor’s Office is Open for Appeals
As April 1st deadline for property tax appeal nears, local office offers support to residents

The River Forest Township Assessor’s office is now open for appeals with the Cook County Assessor. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. on April 1st.
If your property is assessed close to market value or you had a successful reduction of assessment with The Cook County Board of Review last year, you may not need to appeal. 2024 is the second year of the triennial appeal cycle.
The Cook County Assessor’s Office now requires all appeals to be filed online. The River Forest Township Assessor’s Office is providing online instructions for this process, as well as assistance with supporting documentation.
