Roadside Safety Check Coming to Austin Neighborhood
Chicago police will look for impaired and unsafe drivers this weekend.

Chicago IL - The Chicago Police Department will conduct a roadside safety check this weekend in the Austin neighborhood.
The check will take place from 7 p.m. March 18 to 3 a.m. March 19 at 5440 W. Madison Ave., according to Chicago News Affairs.
Police will slow traffic, stop cars at regular intervals and watch for drivers who show signs of alcohol impairment and other violations.

This program is part of an ongoing strategy to keep the city streets safe for Chicago’s residents and commuters.
