Skimming Device Found on Gas Pump in River Forest
The U.S. Secret Service is working with River Forest investigators on the case.

A River Forest police officer was sent Oct. 13 to a gas station in the 7200 block of West North Avenue for reports of an illegal credit card “skimming device” found inside one of the gas pumps.
The device possibly compromised customers’ credit card accounts and personal identity, according to River Forest police.

Skimming devices are usually put over a card reader to collect PIN and debit card information.
The U.S. Secret Service was called, and they are currently working with River Forest investigators on the case.
