Stroll Through Oak Park to Relish Public Art and Diversity This Week

The outdoor art exhibit runs through Sept. 5 at Mills Park.

A sculpture-focused stroll awaits Oak Park residents who are looking for something a little out of the ordinary this week.

Walkers and check out the dozen featured sculptures through Monday at an outdoor exhibit known as the Oak Park Sculpture Walk. It's centered at Mills Park near Pleasant and Home avenues.

Published brochures are available at Oak Park's public libraries, area businesses near the park and on site.

The sculptures were chosen through a juried art competition organized by the the Public Art Advisory Commission, citizen volunteers who promote the acquisition and placement of public art that reflects diversity and artistic expression, and enhances the aesthetic environment of the village.
