1. Sunflower Spa Massage was robbed at gunpoint Dec. 6, according to the latest Oak Park Police Department crime report. The offenders allegedly punched an employee and stole $35,000 in cash and other items. (OPPD)
2. The River Forest Village Board is making plans to fund two major infrastructure projects this year, Wednesday Journal reports. More than $5 million will be issued in bonds to pay for new water meters and alley improvements. (Wednesday Journal)
3. River Forest officials also voted this week on a new law to prohibit weapons and explosives on film sets. The vote came after a cinematographer was killed on the set of āRustā in New Mexico. (Wednesday Journal)
