Here are the top 3 stories in Oak Park-River Forest today:

1. Forest Park teenagers stormed the public pool last week amid record high temperatures in Chicagoland. More than 100 young people pushed past the front entrance or scaled the fences because of an online SnapChat invitation. Both Oak Park pools also reached capacity last week, despite an electrical outage that limited credit card payments. (Wednesday Journal)

2. Heather Mack’s daughter will live with her Indonesian foster mother at a home in Forest Park, a judge ruled last Friday. Oshar Putu Melody Suartama helped take care of the 7 year old while Mack served a prison sentence for killing her mother, Oak Park resident Sheila Mack, in 2014. (Paid source: Tribune)

3. Children as young as 6 months old are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from Moderna or Pfizer, the FDA announced this weekend. The Oak Park Department of Public Health said “it is unknown at this time” when they are expected to receive an order of pediatric vaccines for the age group. (VOP)
