1. A man was struck and killed by a Metra commuter train near Oak Park Sunday night. He was walking on the tracks between the Kedzie and Oak Park stops around 11 p.m. Sunday. (CBS2)

2. Oak Park native Ellis Coleman is in Tokyo as an alternate for the U.S. Olympic wrestling team. Coleman has been in Japan for two weeks, training and encouraging his teammates. He led the Oak Park and River Forest High School team to the championship in 2009 and said of the Olympics: “this is bigger than just me.” (Chicago Tribune)

5. The nationwide eviction moratorium expired Saturday. The ban was put in place by the CDC early in the pandemic to assist workers whose jobs were altered or cut by COVID-19 closures. More than 3.6 million Americans are at risk of eviction this week. (AP)
