1. The mixed-use building at 715-717 South Blvd. is “80 percent done” after years of delays, according to developer Art Gurevich. The Village Board granted him a 9-month extension on the project, due to pandemic challenges and supply chain issues. “This building shouldn’t take longer to build than the Hoover Dam,” Trustee Jim Taglia said. 2. At least 11 cars were stolen in Oak Park between Sept. 18-25, according to the Oak Park Police Department. Four of the stolen vehicles were recovered by Chicago police. (Wednesday Journal)
