Vernon Hills lights up for holidays

Workers took advantage of mild weather to arrange decorations.

Village workers put up lights and displays on Friday, according to the Daily Herald.

The decorations are part of a plan to replace the annual Winter Wonderland experience at the Cuneo mansion, which stopped in 2014.

Village trustees allocated $26,000 for 51 light pole wreaths and four new displays. Decorations will include 178 displays left over from the Winter Wonderland.
