1. An attempted armed carjacking led to a crash early Monday morning in Oak Park, according to the police department. Two males approached a driver at Washington Boulevard and Lombard Avenue around 12 a.m., but the man in the car drove away before they could steal his vehicle. The carjackers were later involved in a crash at Randolph Street and Ridgeland Avenue. (Patch)

2. Oak Park trustees passed a resolution to classify reproductive rights as human rights in the village code, Wednesday Journal reports. Trustee Art Walker-Peddakotla requested the resolution, which passed unanimously. ā€œIt is very important to me that we use the language reproductive health because this is not just about abortions,ā€ Walker-Peddakotla said.
