Village Files Court Order to Complete Construction of Fresh Thyme Grocery Store

An update on the Fresh Thyme Farmer's Market River Forest location.

RIVER FOREST, IL - Structural repairs to the Fresh Thyme Farmers Market River Forest location must be complete by the end of the year.

The village entered a court order on July 12 to establish deadlines for the completion of construction in the space at 7501 North Ave. The project will be up for formal consideration at a court hearing on August 17, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Work at the site was halted on February 19, 2016 due to a wall collapse that caused hundreds of bricks to fall onto the sidewalk and Monroe Avenue.

The site of the former Dominick's grocery store has been vacant since late 2013.
