Woman Crashes Funeral Procession, Sending Three To Hospital
Woman caused two-car crash in Oak Park Monday, after trying to drive through funeral procession, police said.

A 48-year-old Chicago woman was cited after she tried to drive through a funeral procession on Ridgeland Avenue Monday, the Chicago Tribune reported. Three people were hospitalized with minor injuries, it said.
According to Oak Park police, the procession was headed south on Ridgeland Avenue just after noon when the woman drove westbound through the intersection on Augustana Street.
The woman’s car collided with a car in the procession, sending both vehicles to the sidewalk, police said.

Oak Park plice Cmdr. LaDon Reynolds said two people who were struck went to West Suburban Hospital. The woman who caused the crash was taken to Loyola University Medical Center, Reynolds said.
The woman was cited for damage to village property and failure to yield, he said.
