1 Rescued After Metra Train Strikes Car In Orland Park
The incident happened Wednesday evening between 153rd and 159th streets, Metra officials said.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A man pulled from a car after it was struck by a Metra train Wednesday in Orland Park is in good condition, Metra officials said Thursday.
The incident happened around 7:50 p.m., Metra officials said. Southwest Service train No. 823 struck the car between 153rd and 159th streets, Metra officials said. Metra and Orland Park police were on scene. Orland Fire Protection District pulled the man from the car.
A man, who was the sole occupant, was taken to Silver Cross Hospital. Metra officials said he was listed as in good condition as of 9 p.m.

It was not immediately known why the car was on the tracks. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
