170 Traffic Stops, 90 Seat Belt Citations In Orland PD's July 4 Push
Orland PD stepped up patrols the weeks leading up to the July 4 holiday.

ORLAND PARK, IL — The Orland Park Police Department made 179 traffic stops and issued 90 seat belt citations during the recent Independence Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High Get a DUI” and “Click It or Ticket” safety campaigns.
During the enforcement period, The Orland Park Police Department also issued the following citations:
- 2 car seat citations
- 23 speeding citations
- 67 distracted driving citations
- 37 miscellaneous citations
- 3 arrests
The Orland Park Police Department joined forces with more than 200 other state and local law enforcement agencies to get drunk and drugged drivers off our roads, encourage seat belt use, and enforce speeding and other traffic laws. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities including the “It’s Not a Game” media campaign.

The enforcement period was funded by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High Get a DUI” and “Click It or Ticket” programs.
