Moving Car Hit By Cement Chunk; Orland Police Investigating

The incident happened on Southwest Highway near Wolf Road, overnight Saturday into Sunday, police said.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park police are investigating after a moving car was hit by what appeared to be a piece of concrete, police said.

Police said the incident happened at 12:30 a.m., on Southwest Highway near 179th Street, just west of Wolf Road. Responding officers found a piece of material described as concrete or brick had hit the windshield of the car as it was in motion, said Orland Park Police Commander Ken Rosinski.

The driver was not seriously injured, Rosinski said.

Police said the object appeared to be a piece of concrete or landscape brick.

An investigation is ongoing.
