Driver Who Smashed into Guard Rail Accused of Being on Drugs: Blotter
Jennifer J. Delevic, 38, of Tinley Park, was charged with DUI and several traffic violations on June 8.

A Tinley Park woman is accused of intoxicated driving after she hit a guard rail on June 8 and drove away.
Jennifer J. Delevic, 38, of the 7500 block of Nottingham Drive, Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving with a suspended license, failing to signal and driving an unsafe vehicle, according to an Orland Park police report.
Police were called at about 11:55 p.m. to the area of 153rd Street and Harlem Avenue to investigate a silver Nissan Maxima that almost struck a curb before smashing into a guard rail, according to a report. Police stopped the Maxima in the 15600 block of Harlem when the driver failed to use a turn signal.
A headlight was missing and the car's front bumper had "heavy damage," according to the report. The engine was leaking fluid, as well.
Police said the driver, Delevic, appeared to be sleepy and looked pale, the report states. She was asked to perform field sobriety tests and give a sample for a breath test, after which she was arrested. An officer allegedly found an empty prescription bottle of hydrocodone in the car.
Delevic is due on July 18 in Bridgeview court.
