Gunfire Hits Orland Home In Targeted Attack: Police

Shots were fired at the house from a car late Wednesday night, police said.

ORLAND PARK, IL — An Orland Park house was hit by gunfire Wednesday night in what police are calling a targeted incident, police said Thursday.

Police were called around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday to a home in the 17500 block of Coronado Drive, for a report of shots fired.

Responding officers learned that an unknown vehicle had approached the home and fired multiple rounds from a handgun into the residence before fleeing. No one inside the residence was struck, police said.

An investigation has revealed that this incident was not a random act, police said, as the
residence was specifically targeted. The Orland Park Police Department continues to
