Macy's Proves Tempting Target for Thieves: Blotter

Retail Theft Charge for Chicago Man
Breanna J. Anthony, 20, of the 9300 block of South Bishop in Chicago, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. She is accused of hiding a fleece suit under bags on a stroller at about 4:45 p.m. and then leaving Macy’s, 1 Orland Square Dr., without paying for it. Anthony told police she had forgotten about the suit and had intended to pay for it. Because of her record, she did not qualify for a local ordinance ticket for retail theft. She is due in Bridgeview court on April 12.
Erratic Driver Draws Police Attention
Jason C. Koleczek, 35, of the 16500 block of Ridgeland Avenue in Tinley Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving without insurance and possession of marijuana, according to report. A call about an erratic driver at 8:27 p.m. led police to a parking lot at 10723 159th St. A witness directed police to a parked white Ford Tauras, where an officer found the driver appearing to fall asleep. The driver, Koleczek, said he had been drinking whiskey and water and that he had marijuana in the center console. He was booked, refused to take a breath test at the Orland Park Police Department and was given a March 14 Bridgeview court date.
