The director of security of the Orland Square Mall got into it with a young man from Indiana who refused to pull up his pants, police said.
The Orland Park police were reportedly sent to the mall “in regard to a male subject who was not wearing clothes and giving mall security a hard time.”
When officers arrived, they found the “director of Orland Square Mall Security outside of the Cheesecake Factory,” where he was speaking with a man later identified as 24-year-old Shawn Ramos of Gary.

An officer “observed that Shawn was not wearing a shirt and his pants were down approximately 5 inches below his waist exposing his underwear, police said. The 55-year-old security director reportedly explained that he had “told Shawn to pull up his pants and in return Shawn pulled down his pants all the way exposing his underwear,” police said. The security director also claimed to have twice told Ramos to make himself scarce but “Shawn refused.”
Ramos allegedly struggled with police and the security director when they took him into custody. He was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer, and told not to return to the mall.
