Orland Park Announces Halloween Trick Or Treating Hours For Village

Trick-or-treating will only be allowed on Halloween, officials said, and because it falls on a Monday, it will take place from 2-7 p.m.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Halloween is quickly approaching and while the fall season may bring its share of fall festivals and pumpkin patches, local residents of a certain age look forward to the end of October for a very sweet reason.

On Tuesday, the Village of Orland Park announced that trick-or-treating will only be allowed on Oct. 31 as Halloween falls on a Monday this year. Village officials said that because when the candy-friendly holiday falls on a Monday, trick-or-treating will be allowed between 2-7 p.m. on October 31.

Other events taking place in the area around Halloween include the Little Monsters Kids Halloween Event that will be held between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Oct. 29 at Sheep’s Food District at 8888 W. 159th St., a Trunk Or Treat Party at Trinity Lutheran Church and School between 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 29 in Tinley Park, a Halloween Pet Pawty from 12-2 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Pet Supplies Plus, 9430 W. 159th St. in Orland Park, Witches Night Out Sip and Shop, which will take place at Georgios Banquets at 8800 W. 159th St. in Orland Park from 4-9:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 and the Spooktacular Halloween Party, which will take place from 6-6:50 p.m. on Wednesday at the Palos Heights Park and Recreation Center at 6601 W. 127th St. in Palos Heights.
