Orland Park Set To Sparkle In Holiday Festival, Tree Lighting

The Village is still seeking parade participants and vendors for the holiday market, both set for Sunday, Nov. 26.

ORLAND PARK, IL — Orland Park is gearing up for the holidays, with a date set for its tree lighting—and a parade and holiday market, too.

Planned for Sunday, Nov. 26, festivities will kick off with a Christmas parade at 4 p.m., with the tree lighting after at 5 p.m., at Village Circle and the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 S. Ravinia Ave.

Following up the tree lighting, a holiday market with crafts, holiday items and food available for purchase, the Village shared online. Live entertainment will also be featured, with a visit from Santa, too.

The Village is still accepting applications for parade participants, and anyone interested should fill out the form online.

Vendors are still being sought for the holiday market—which is planned to feature ready-to-eat foods, hot chocolate and holiday-themed products such as décor. Limited spots are available, and anyone interested should email dbiela@orlandpark.org or apply online.

The fun includes a coloring contest for children up to 10 years old, with prizes going to places 1st through 3rd. The coloring page can be downloaded on the Village's website, and should be dropped at the at Village Hall, Sportsplex, Cultural Arts Center, Orland Park Health and Fitness or Franklin Loebe Center (FLC) by 12 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Community Tree Trim

Residents are invited to round up their family or a group to celebrate the start of the holiday season in the Village's 8th annual tree trim. Scout troops, youth and church groups, athletic teams, and community members are invited to adopt a tree to decorate in their own special way. The community trees will be part of the lawn decor at the Village's Holiday Festival. Fill out a form online.

  • $25 to adopt a tree—Limited quantities available
  • Trees available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Trees are approximately 5 foot tall and will include white lights
  • You provide the decorations (hand-made or store bought)
  • Tree decoration: Nov. 21–25 (must be completed by Saturday, November 25)
  • Groups/organizations can have a tree sponsor
  • Trees will be assigned and labeled with each organization and tree sponsor name, if applicable
  • Decorations must be removed by Monday, Jan. 8
  • Fee: $25/tree | LIMIT: 20

Lions Club Christmas Tree and Wreath

The Lions Club will be selling Christmas trees and wreaths daily, starting Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and continuing until sold out.

  • Sat: 9 a.m.–7 p.m.
  • Sun: 10 a.m.–4 p.m
