1 Hospitalized In 3-Car Crash Caused By Improper Left Turn: Oswego PD

The driver, of Montgomery, struck two cars after attempting to turn left onto Fifth Street from Route 30, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — One person was hospitalized Tuesday evening after a driver made an improper left turn that resulted in a three-car crash, according to Oswego police.

A 61-year-old Montgomery man was cited for an improper left turn into oncoming traffic following the crash at about 6:25 p.m. at the intersection of Route 30 and Fifth Street.

The man, who was driving a Honda, was driving west on Route 30 when he attempted to turn left onto Fifth Street and crashed into a Chevrolet driven by a 23-year-old man from Aurora. The Honda then hit a third car, driven by a 39-year-old Montgomery man, that was waiting to turn right onto Route 30, according to a police report.

The Honda driver was hospitalized with injuries, officials said.

The crash was listed in the Oswego Police Department's Wednesday blotter, which listed the case as closed.
