16 Staff Members Honorably Dismissed Due To Economic Necessity
The OSD308 Board of Education voted to dismiss 16 part-time recess monitors from across 11 elementary schools in the district.
OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego School District 308 Board of Education unanimously decided to honorably dismiss educational support staff members during its Sept. 14 meeting.
According to board documents, the 16 part-time employees — who worked as recess monitors at elementary schools — are being dismissed in order to decrease the number of educational support personnel employed by the school district due to economic necessity. They will not be re-hired for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year.
This will be effective as of 30 from the date of receipt or attempted delivery of the notice.
