Combined $7K Worth Of Goods Stolen From Kohl's, Walmart: Oswego PD
Another retail theft happened later that night a few doors down, at the Walmart Supercenter, police said.
OSWEGO, IL — Two retail thefts happened Friday night in Oswego, with a combined $7,000 of goods stolen, police reported.
About $ 3,900 worth of merchandise was stolen from Kohl's, and another $3,132 was taken from Walmart Supercenter a few doors down.
The Kohl's theft occurred at 6:28 p.m. Friday. Police reported in Monday's blotter that after the products were stolen, the shoplifter fled in a black Jeep.

The Walmart theft happened a few hours later, at 9:20 p.m. Alex Behmetuik, of Whelan Street in Lockport, was arrested and charged with retail theft in the incident, police said.
Behmetuik, 34, was booked at the Oswego Police Department and taken to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.

Officials did not respond to Patch's request for comment at the time of publication. It is unclear if the two retail thefts are connected.
