Vehicle Fire Extends To Commercial Building In Oswego: FD
With fears of it spreading, crews contained the fire to the vehicle where it began and the exterior portion of the building, officials said.
OSWEGO, IL — A vehicle, and later a commercial building, caught fire Sunday morning in the 0-99 block of Stone Hill Road in Oswego, officials said.
Oswego Fire Protection District crews were dispatched at about 8:08 a.m. to the block for a report of a vehicle fire. When they arrived, they found it had spread to the nearby commercial structure, according to a news release.
Due to fears of the fire extending further, the incident commander upgraded the alarm, requesting more resources from the Bristol Kendall, Sugar Grove and Plainfield fire departments.

Firefighters deployed hose lines and conducted coordinated suppression operations to put out the blaze. Ultimately, the fire was contained to the vehicle where it originated and the exterior portion of the commercial structure, officials said.
No injuries were reported, according to the release. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
