3 Local Sex Offenders May Be Violating Registry: Kendall Sheriff
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office conducted "Operation Trick or Treat 2" as a way to make the Halloween season safer.
KENDALL COUNTY, IL — Three registered sexual offenders may be in violation of the Sex Offender Registry Act, investigators discovered during "Operation Trick or Treat 2."
Ahead of families and children taking to the town to trick-or-treat for Halloween, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office partnered with the United States Marshals Service for the operation, intended to keep sex offenders accountable.
"To make the Halloween season safer in these communities, operation personnel visit the registered sex offenders to ensure compliance, arrest non-compliant sex offenders, and open investigations when possible violations are identified," Deputy Dan Briars wrote in a news release.
