4 Dogs Die In Oswego House Fire

Damage to the home is estimated at $125,000.

OSWEGO, IL — Four dogs perished but no human injuries were reported after a fire in the 100 block of Laurie Lane on Sunday. Oswego firefighters responded to the blaze at around 6:30 p.m.

Crews got the fire under control in around 15 minutes, but the home sustained extensive damage estimated at around $125,000. Officials said the residents were not home at the time of the fire, but four dogs were killed in the blaze.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious but is under investigation.
