$40,000 Damage To Oswego Home In Monday Fire
Upon arrival, firefighters found an attached garage heavily involved in fire, and they brought it under control within 10 minutes.
OSWEGO, IL — The Oswego Fire protection district reported a fire Monday morning that caused an estimated $40,000 fire damage to an Oswego home.
In a press release, fire district officials said that firefighters were dispatched at 3:25 a.m. to a home in the 100 block of Chesterfield Drive on a report of an activated fire alarm. While enroute, the KENCOM Public Safety Dispatch Center received a 911 call from the residents, stating their house was on fire. The alarm was upgraded and additional units were dispatched.
Upon arrival at the residence, firefighters found an attached garage heavily involved in fire. After an aggressive fire attack, firefighters had the fire under control in about 10 minutes. No injuries were reported and the occupants of the home all managed to escape the residence safely.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious, fire district officials said.
The Plainfield Fire Protection District provided station coverage and the Montgomery & Countryside Fire Protection District provided a mutual aid ambulance on the scene of the fire, according to the fire district.
