The bank opened the Community Garden this year, giving its customers the opportunity to grow produce for themselves and for charity. The garden has been maintained and grown using only organic gardening methods.
Nationwide the Plant a Row Program in 2010 donated more than a million pounds of fresh produce directly into the hands of those in need. The produce donated by local gardeners will be tallied by weight, and donated to local families facing hunger issues through the Kendall County Food Pantry.
