Amateur Artists & Student Artists Wanted

The Oswegoland Park District will host Kendall County’s annual Town & Country Art Show on Saturday and Sunday, March 10 & 11 at the Park District’s Civic Center located at 5 Ashlawn Ave, Montgomery. The exhibit of original art will be open to the public Saturday and Sunday, 12-4 pm.

Amateur artists who work in any visual art media, including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpting, jewelry making, and photography are encouraged to participate in this local show. Entries must be original, having been conceived, composed, and executed entirely by the exhibitor. The Town & Country Art Show provides an opportunity for adult amateur artists and students to display their work publicly, and encourages them to pursue artistic pastimes.

The entry fee for an adult amateur is $8 per piece, with a limit of four pieces. The student entry fee is $2 per piece, with a limit of two pieces. Students in grades 1-12 are eligible to enter their art work. All artwork must be original and completed during the last year. The deadline to enter artwork in this year’s show is March 2. Entry forms and exhibitor rules may be downloaded at www.oswegolandparkdistrict.org. Questions regarding the art show may be directed to Cori Veverka at cveverka@oswegolandpd.org or 630.554.4433.
