School Board Honors Arranmore Founder

The following announcement was provided by the Arranmore Center for the Arts.

Arts appreciation was on the agenda at the May 23 Oswego School District 308 Board of Education meeting.

The district awarded Arranmore Center for the Arts (ACA) founder, Shannon Greene Robb, with a certificate of appreciation for establishing the InspirEd Arts Showcase in April of this year.

In accepting the award, Shannon Greene Robb spoke about the impact that the InspirEd program had on students throughout the district. A video compilation of the program was also shared with the school board and audience.

“It was such an honor to bring this program to Oswego and an even greater one to be recognized by the district,” Greene Robb says. “This is a testament to the community’s commitment to the arts.”

InspirEd is one of several programs offered by ACA and features a unique opportunity for students to collaborate and perform with professional artists in a workshop environment, culminating with a
Gallery/Showcase Performance. Oswego was the first district to participate in the program.

"All of the professional artists were so inspired by the students who participated in this program,” remarks Greene Robb. “We look forward to bringing this program to school districts throughout the
Western Suburbs.”

Arranmore Center for the Arts (ACA) is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a wide array of diverse arts education and performance opportunities for residents in the western suburbs of Chicago, including Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield and Aurora.
