Anthony Abruscato Passes

Anthony Abruscato, age 85, of Oswego, IL died Friday, December 9, 2011 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, IL.

He was born August 24, 1926 in Oglesby the son of the late Anthony and Angeline nee Macaluso Abruscato. Anthony served his country honorably with the US Army and prior to retirement was employed as an industrial sewing machine mechanic. He was a member of St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL.

Anthony is survived by his wife Pauline nee Provenzano Abruscato, children Angela (John) Solorio of Lombard, IL, Joe (Denise) Abruscato of Atlanta, GA, daughter-in-law Sherri Abruscato of Oswego, IL; grandchildren George (Kelly) Leicht, Joseph (Mandi) Leicht, Gina (Jaime) Moreno, Nicole Abruscato, Veronica Abruscato, Jamie (Ash)Damitz, Michael (Ashley) Abruscato, 12 great-grandchildren; sister Rosemary Claypool, brothers Mario (Judy) Abruscato; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death a son Anthony Abruscato, sister Angeline Miraldi and brothers John, Leo, Nick and Joe Abruscato.Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 3:00 to 8:00PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREAMTORY 1801 South Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. Burial will follow at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
