Carol M Mahalik, age 65, of Oswego, IL left this earth, surrounded by her loving family, to be with her loved ones in heaven, on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born December 14, 1946 in Joliet, IL the daughter of the late Joseph and Winifred nee Malone Stariha.
Carol is survived by her husband Gerald L Mahalik, son Louis J (Lynda) Mahalik, daughters Kara (Alan) Wyckoff, Elizabeth (Steve) Linton, cherished grandsons Andrew and Aaron Wyckoff, Jacob Mahalik; sisters Winifred Stariha, Maryann (Tony) deceased Frescura, Paula (Ahmad) Manjoo, brother Jospeh C (Lynn) Stariha; several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister Susan (Patrick) Shumacher.
The family would like to thank the doctors and caregivers associated with the Edward Hospital Cancer Center. Honoring the wish of Carol a private family memorial service preceded by cremation will take place. We will always love and miss you Mom!
