The Children’s Playhouse, a division of the Oswego Playhouse, announces auditions for their first production of T.S. Eliot’s “Cats” to be presented on March 16, 17, and 18. Auditions will take place Monday, January 9th from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Oswego Village Hall. All children ages 9 – 14 are invited to audition for the show, which is based on the poems by T. S. Eliot.
This is not a musical, but those auditioning will be required to dance, act and participate in ensemble routines. For the audition you will be asked to read from the script and join in a movement improvisation.
The Oswego Playhouse is an all-volunteer based community theatre group that works through the Village of Oswego’s Cultural Arts Commission and under the direction of Daina Gielser, Artistic Director. Started in 2002, the Oswego Playhouse has performed a variety of shows including dramas, comedies and Shakespeare.
