
The Village of Oswego invites you to the annual Christmas Walk Celebration, held on Friday, Dec. 2 – Sunday, Dec. 4 throughout Oswego. The festivities kick-off on Friday, Dec. 2nd, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in downtown Oswego.
The night will begin with the tree-lighting ceremony on Main Street near the old fire station. Beginning at 5 p.m., the tree lighting ceremony will include musical entertainment provided by the Oswego East High School group Spotlight.
At 7 p.m., the Silent, Illuminated Fire Truck parade will make its way down Main Street. Fire trucks from Oswego and other local fire departments will participate in this annual event.

Other activities throughout the night include Toyland Train rides, the Sledding Hill (giant slide), ice skating rink, ice carving demonstrations, strolling carolers and characters, holiday music, kids crafts and games, delicious food vendors and shopping opportunities in the wonderful downtown businesses. Stop at the Little White School Museum, hosted by the Oswegoland Park District, to enjoy crafts, music, and treats.
Don’t miss a Visit with Santa, hosted by the Garden Faire. Bring your cameras to capture that special moment with Santa! Delicious and tantalizing food will be available along Main Street. At Hudson Crossing Park, which is located at the corner of Harrison and Washington Street, enjoy the splendor and beauty of the Fox River as you and your families enjoy a ride on the Belgian Draft Horse Hay Ride.

Parking is available on Friday night at the old Alexander Lumber lot and the various lots located in downtown Oswego.
The festivities will continue on Saturday, Dec. 3 with a Pancake Breakfast with Santa sponsored by the Rotary Club of Oswego, Oswego Senior Center and the Oswego YMCA at the District 308 Center (old Traughber Junior High). From 8:00 - 11 a.m., this event will include a delicious breakfast, games, crafts and pictures with Santa.
The annual Holiday Cookie Walk will take place in downtown Oswego from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Purchase your holiday tin and then visit all of the participating merchants for a homemade holiday cookie.
The Oswego Playhouse will present the holiday classic “A Child’s Christmas in Wales” at 7 p.m. in downtown Oswego, under the Tap House Grill. Tickets are available by calling 630-554-3618 or before each performance.
The festivities continue on Sunday, Dec. with Oswego Family YMCA Jingle Bell Jog and another performance by the Oswego Playhouse of “A Child’s Christmas in Wales”.
