District 308 encourages all parents of teenagers, or soon to be teens, to attend its second annual Parent Forum—Illegal Vices/Fatal Choices. This free event will focus on issues of teen safety and parent accountability regarding the use of alcohol, synthetic drugs and illegal substances by minors.
Illegal Vices/Fatal Choices will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15 in the Oswego East High School Performing Arts Center (1525 Harvey Road, Oswego). Please join District 308, the Oswego Police Department, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office and the To The Maximus Foundation for this important discussion.
During the evening parents will learn how to recognize the signs of substance use by their children, the legal ramifications for teenagers and their parents, as well as the dangerous and sometimes fatal consequences.
