Elizabeth “Bette” B. Gebe, 81, of Oswego died Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Bickford of Oswego.
Elizabeth was born June 2, 1930 in Hammond, IN. to George & Mary (Kuglis) Petro. She married Andrew Gebe May 31, 1958 in Chicago. She retired as an insurance adjuster for the Chambers Insurance Co. in Naperville. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego and had been a member and past president of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Lisle. She had been a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Lisle.
She is survived by her six children, Deborah (Michael) Pope of Lisle, Andrew (Christine) Gebe of Corrales, Lisa (Mark) Smith of Joliet, Linda Gebe of Aurora, Thomas (Cindy) Gebe of Rockford, Carol (Patrick) Murphy of Oswego; fourteen grandchildren, Nicole & Michelle Pope, Andrew & Alisha Gebe, Dakota & Kaleigh Smith, Elijah Gebe, Zachary, Rebekah & Marissa Gebe, Sean, Colin, Rourke & Keegan Murphy,; a sister Mary Ann Baxter of Orland Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew; a son, Michael Gebe; two grandchildren, Kelly Lauren and Amanda Michelle Smith and a brother George.
A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16th at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego. Interment will be the Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton. Visitation will be 3;00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15th at the , 1801 S. Douglas, Rd, Oswego, IL., 60543, phone 630-554-3888. Memorials may be directed to Parkinson’s Research
