Frank M. Sweeney Passes

Frank M. Sweeney, 78, of Montgomery passed Monday, April 30, 2012 at Rush-Copley Medical Center.

Mr. Sweeney was born May, 30, 1933 in Chicago to Frank M, & Helen N. (Maguire) Sweeney. He had served in the US Army from 1953 to 1956. He married Mary L. Dressel August 8, 1959 in Ironton, Ohio. He had been a CPA for the Moser Enterprises in Naperville for many years.

He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, a member of Oswego American Legion Post #675, a member of the Illinois Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s. he was a member of the Naperville Riverwalk Foundation being treasurer for many years and also serving as a Riverwalk Troll.

He is survived by his wife Mary L. Sweeney; his children, Barbara Sweeney of Aurora, Katherine (Tim) Poe of Downers Grove, William (Christine) Sweeney of Montgomery, Carol Mittman of Oswego, John (Rhonda) Sweeney of Bolingbrook; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and a sister, Helen Sweeney of Westmont.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Sweeney.A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 4 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego with Father Dan Stempora. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL., 60543, phone 630-554-3888. Interment will be at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Naperville.
