John P. Kelley Passes

John P Kelley, age 83, of Oswego, IL died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 25, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late John I and Marie nee Hackett Kelley. John served his country honorably with the US Army in the 2nd Armored Cavalry in Germany during the Korean Conflict.

He was a vice-president at Central National Bank in Chicago before becoming a founding partner and President of Pub/Data, Inc. in Cicero IL. He was a member of St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL.

John is survived by his wife Mildred nee Bennett Kelley, whom he married on June 13, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA, two daughters Victoria (Wayne) Schneider of Serena, IL, Nancy (Joseph) Kozlowski of Carol Stream, IL, three sons John (Bridget) Kelley of Naperville, IL, William (Cynthia) Kelley of Sheridan, IL, Timothy (Evelyn) Kelley of Sycamore, IL, fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters Helen Scavilla, Patricia (Gerald) Donohie, Irene (John) Boyle all of PA, also many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son Joseph Kelley, a sister Marie Kelley and a brother Richard Kelley.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the 1801 South Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Funeral service will be on Monday, January 23, 2012 from the funeral home at 9:30AM to St Anne Catholic Church 551Boulder Hill Pass Oswego, IL for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr David Hankus. Burial will take place at Risen Lord Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
