Matthew Donald Schindlbeck Passes

Matthew Donald Schindlbeck was an incredible son, brother and friend. He had a huge heart and gentle spirit. Matthew was a generous person throughout his entire life and had a smile that could brighten a room.

Matthew's life was all about service to others - starting as a young child, then as an Eagle Scout and throughout his final days. The world is a better place because he was in it. Matthew lost his valiant struggle for sobriety when drug addition took him at the young age of 24. He went to rest with our Lord and Savior on March 7, 2012. 

He was born December 17, 1987 in Aurora, IL.He was a 2006 graduate of Oswego High School and continued on to achieve a BA in accounting from NIU.  He was a member of the Eagle Scouts of America, Student Accounting Society and the Illinois CPA Society. He worked for many years in the family business, Craig's Remodeling, alongside his father.

He is survived by his parents Craig R and Kathy L nee Kittoe Schindlbeck, his brother Christopher R (Danielle) Schindlbeck;  maternal grandparents Donald and Gloria Kittoe; paternal grandparents Donald and Melva Schindlbeck, his significant other Michelle Vosecek and his beloved pup, Wrigley; Godparents Timothy (Jackie) Walsh and their children Melanie (Ryan) Dewey and Haley (Michael) Warren, maternal uncles, Michael and Craig Kittoe, paternal aunt Robin (deceased) John Hodgson and their daughters Melissa (Timothy) Paukstis and Kelly (Dirk) Summers.

A celebration of life for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at  1801 South Douglas Road  Oswego, IL.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.  Cremation was accorded the wish of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Breaking Free 120 Gale St., Aurora, IL 60506
