OHS Mathletes Take First at Regional Competition

Regional Math Contest Results -  February 26, 2011

Oswego High School finished 1st place in the Regional Competition at Joliet Junior College.  The entire OHS team will advance to the State competition, which will occur Saturday April 30 at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. 

Thirty-two OHS students participated in the contest.  Oswego took first in 4 of the 10 events, and second in 3 events.  The names of the students competing in those events are listed below.

Freshman-Sophomore Eight Person Team –  Sarah Frantik, Jessica Johnson, Nick Schultz, Iva Veseli, Troi Athitakis, Jessica Edwards, Jonah Engel, Connor Kispert

Junior-Senior Eight Person Team –  Matt Adams, Jackie Grimm, Miguelangel Marchan, Robert Salerno, Jason Dienhart, Tim Gburek, Kayla Lee, Ben Wooley
