The Oswegoland Park District’s Finance Department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental reporting.
Each year the Oswegoland Park District is audited and a financial report is prepared and shared with the community. Nancy Woods, the District’s Director of Finance, and the entire Finance Department took the reporting process one step further by submitting the report for national review by an impartial panel judging on high standards in full financial disclosure.
According to Deputy Director Rich Zielke, “This award speaks to the clarity and accuracy of the District’s financial story, and we commend the staff who went above and beyond in putting the report together.”
