Park District Wraps Up Adult Co-Ed Soccer League

One of the best parts of working at the Oswegoland Park District is being a part of a passionate commitment to play.  That philosophy doesn’t have a maximum age requirement either.

While we love to teach the foundations of the sport to kids as young and adorable as 3, over 140 folks have been showing us that the fun of soccer isn’t just for the kids.  For the fourth season in a row, adults put down their things to do lists, dropped their bills, and came out to play some ball.  Seven teams made of up 10 men and women each played games on Sunday mornings at Prairie Point and we had a blast.

Our thanks to these teams for being young at heart and strong in spirit each week.  These teams, the Wrecking Balls, Arsenal, EF FC, Spork, Lady Bugs, Pain Killers and along with Season and Tournament Winner Team O'Malley's proved the words of George Bernard Shaw right.  "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing."  We look forward to seeing these teams back again and invite new teams to join us this Spring!
