The Oswego Police Department recently concluded their extra traffic enforcement detail, which was funded through the Step Grant provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The enforecement period, which ws conducted between Dec. 19 and Jan. 1 focused on the use of seat belts and child restraints. Police wrote citations for the following offenses
- 79 seatbelt
- 11 uninsured motorist
- 34 speeding
- 6 no valid driver's license
- 5 equipment
- 3 warrant arrests
- 2 DUI
- 1 drugs
- 1 other alcohol related
- 1 stop sign
- 1 child restraint
